Thinking about moving to warmer weather. A friend lives in coco beach and suggested I come on down. Did a Google search regarding metal detecting in bravard county. There is a thread going around that says it is not allowed in public parks. I called the county P & R dept. The truth is, you can, but there are some conditions. Basically comon sense. No playgrounds when kids are around, no ballfields, no pavilions when being used. He acknowledge that this thread has been going on for 3 years due to misinformation.

All of the parks in palm bay have signs posted when you enter the parks "No Metal Detecting" sucks it cuts down on the spots to hunt at.
