My buddy Dan and I decided to brave the elements this morning and make a return visit to the new site where I've found 6 pieces of colonial silver in just 3 trips there. Dan started off the day right with his first target, but I'll let him tell you the story about that. After hunting for a good while with nothing to show for my efforts except wet clothes and freezing hands, I was finally able to scrounge up my first decent sounding signal. And I was surprised when this tiny little cob popped out. Good thing I was able to dig that little gem as I didn't have much else to brag about after that find. The only other interesting item is this decorated pewter item. The design on it looks almost identical to a very small child's toy plate I dug years ago, so maybe this is a cup that would be part of a set. Just a guess, but can't think of anything else it could be. Finally after 4+ hours of being chilled to the bone we decided to call it a day although it was only early afternoon. Since the finds at this site have significantly diminished it looks like its time to move on to greener pastures, which we already have lined up. Sorry for the poor pic quality but I had to take them indoors due to the weather.
