Is this the same person? I don't think they were asking for monetary help from here but how to go about getting some help.
I am not a treasure hunter but I would assume you would need some concrete evidence like some relics from the area. You may need to dive that area and find something that will back your story up. I also think all shipwrecks or the most part of them are well documented. So if you find some relics you should be able to figure what ship they are from. With that info you could probably find someone to fund your trip.

You could rent the diving gear.

I will return to the area within the next few months, (Weather permitting) and dive to the location.

I chose to remove my post due to the clearly apparent attempt for someone else to belittle or direct other readers of my post to make them think that I am begging on this site for money or tools. I am a little discerned about this and am trying not to focus on the negative people posting about my comment. Finding treasures or trinkets or whatever is all I hope to do.
But, just like the state of Florida and the apparent crimes I am committing by recovering gold bullion, I have decided to ignore their warnings and I now choose to ignore those who comment negatively on my posts.
Again, I thank those who have answered positively and are truly giving me advice.
For those who just can't bare the thought of sharing something negative, might I suggest you go to the Jerry Springer show and enlighten them.
I only hang around and talk to positive people with positive attitudes such as the administrator of this site and pops9653.

I heard through the grapevine that their is a archeological dig going on in your neck of the woods. I heard this through a government request through grants.gov. I read it thouroughly and from what I read it is supposed to be a pretty big event.
Do you know about this?
