Breast Plate and Silver Half!

I've been digging so many targets at this camp I knew there had to be a plate in there somewhere. It took weeks of searching but it finally popped out of the ground? Now what a 1946 walking liberty half is doing in the middle of a field with Civil War relics who knows, but I'll take it.

I didn't have my glasses on when it popped out in the plug so I thought it was a flying eagle. I was a little disappointed to see it wasn't but got over it fast.

GREAT RELICS Were you using the GPX 5000?

I started out using the CTX with 18" search coil to scout the property for hot spots. It did so well once I found the hot spots I never switched. The combination of ground coverage, target separation and depth are pretty compelling. I'm even able to pick up very small targets with the large coil which is surprising. Eventually I'll go over all the hot spots with the GPX.

Excellent point. In addition, just because you dig a Civil War artifact doesn't mean that the site was a CW site.
