Trying to figure out what happened to old train station. Found concrete with fist sozed rocks in it, a brick with S8F BO embossed on it. Some handmade bricks scattered around too.

What does the S8F BO mean? Google wont give up its secrets.

Snagged a small bottle as it looked older, no markings.

Site looks bulldozed, then turned into bottle dump. Shame!

Worth metal detecting?

Hey Pdr,

I detect primarily on 1700 and 1800s era sites and use brick remnant as my primary means of scouting potential sites. Old brick remains are fantastic indicators for highly frequented sites and often yield outstanding relics. Hard to put a date range on your bottle but does appear to have a decent amount of age. Hit the site hard and let us know how you do!
