"Brick Tree" & Rev War era buckles w/Earthworks and his Bro

Went to one of our Rev War house sites with Earthworks and his brother, GoingDown. Had a great day out there and those guys found some cool old buttons, some already posted. I got these two nice buckles and some other thing. Thanks to Earthworks for the photos and check out cool photo of downed trees with bricks from a 18th/19th century foundation all stuck in the roots...Earthworks can say more on the bricks. He did a bunch of research. Happy New Year all.

Nice buckles. Are they wet or why do they seem to shine? Are you making a nice wall display with these Revolutionary War things? I would have them babies grouped in a frame and hanging on my wall.

Very nice!!

Yes, I had just washed the dirt off them.I noticed they look good wet. Never photographed them like that (it's Earthworks' handywork actually).

The bricks in the tree roots photo is awesome. Too bad you guys can't take the roots with bricks intact back home for a yard display. I mean, how many times will you ever see something like that? Awesome!!!! Do the bricks have any names on them?

Re: Rev War era finds w/Earthworks and his Bro

Geez, lots of brick makers back then. Hope you guys are trying in the root ball area of that blowdown.

Sounds like fun. Buckle is cool. Bricks in tree roots even better. ;D You should snag a brick and start a colletion. I have one in my collection. :D
