I purchased a NEL Thunder recently for my AT Pro and finally got to put it to the test at a couple of sites I've hunted many times. I actually found more than what I expected. I don't know if I should attribute that to the coil, or just poor technique on previous visits. At any rate, I managed to find three more large cents ( a Braided, a Draped Bust, and a Matron Head barely recognizable with no dates), one 1861 Indian Head, a few buttons, and a small hem weight. Hadn't been able to swing much lately, so it sure felt good!

Very nice! It looks like it was worth the time and effort!

It's amazing how those hunted many time sites just keep producing...Great job! That's the way to do it!!

Man that is one awesome hunt right there. Congrats all over that !!

Good job!

How deep were they?

I do like Nel coils. Not sure if it was the difference maker but, I'd be giving the Thunder some more swing time over your worked out spots. Wonderful recoveries for sure.:icon_thumright:

Congrats on the good purchase and the sweet finds! Nothin like finding a big penny even if it is crusty.

congrats on the finds and for the coil working out for you

The first LC and tombac were only about 5", but the second LC was a full 9" and the strength of the signal from the Thunder surprised me on that one.
