I used to have really good luck ordering boxes of halves from my bank. Their source was Brinks. NO MORE. I have gone through 11 boxes and they have been a skunk. And to add insult to injury, there were junk coins added to the rolls with the halves. I think they did it on purpose! I need to find a new source and I would recommend that you don't get your halves from Brinks!

Same problem here. You can go to the windows and the tellers have maybe six dollars or so and maybe a couple of them will be 40% or even a 90% now and then. But when they send them back to the main banks vault you don't get any good ones in return. Bank Pickers!!

I am not so sure if it is brinks though. I have been getting halfs for just over a month and I belive that all the banks around here get their coin from brinks. Its just like the guys who say the brown rolls are better then the yellow rolled. I just got skunked on a box of yellow rolled. I am going to start asking more who delivers their coin but like I said..... I am not sure if thats it. As long as you are getting sealed boxes you have just as much of a chance as anyone.

The ones I have been getting are in a sealed plastic bag with a handle on it. Going to try some different banks. I told teller I wanted to order another bag and she called main branch and said i could get one if they got any in. Also wanted to know if I wanted them rolled or not.
Going to stop by some smaller town banks.

My wife used to work at a bank. She'd had everyone there grabing the coins for her which she'd bring to me. Now I guess everyone that works at these banks is doing it.

Now I have a dilemma. I used to have my best luck at that bank. Now where do I go? It is just no longer worth it getting the boxes from Brinks.

Well for all you Brinks bashers.... I got 2 brinks boxes today. One had 4 40% and 1 64. the other had 20 40% and 3 64s. Now I dont know how many you need to find to call it a good box; 30 or so 90%ers.... or what... but I think thats pretty good.

Maybe its a circulatory problem... meaning your are circulating to many of your own halfs.
