British Board of Ordnance cloth seal

Did a quick hunt yesterday and went back to a woods spot
I hunted in the past. Found my second British military
Board of ordnance cloth seal.I believe this seal dates back to
Around the mid 1800’s.
Cloth Seal, Broad Arrow, Board of Ordnance

That's something I've never seen - thanks for adding another relic to my bucket list! Congrats on the great find! :skullflag: :occasion14:

Nice find and congrats! Maybe one of the Moderators will correct "Ordnance" in the title as it is misspelled "Ordance".

Yes noticed right away the mistake, but couldn't edit the title.

Yep, I never understood that fluke with TNET. The Author should be allowed at least 24 hours to correct the Title of a Thread that they composed/started.

You can if you are using Tapatalk. If you have it “Subscribed” in Discussion and tap the drop down, you can “Moderate” the title... has to be your own post of course.

That thing is awesome looking

Awesome piece, congratulations on the save

What a great looking early seal! :hello2:
I've only ever found a GTR Railroad mail bag seal.
I now know never to wash a lead seal with soap and water... because the GTR logo disappeared. :BangHead:
