Recently got the boys together (eastcoasthunter21 and scrappy), we hit some local woods, which have been pounded in the past. We all got a large cent and few other items.

The items I want to share is this gear looking wheel. It does not have any teeth so I’m calling it a tiny wagon wheel

Another item is this crown shaped buckle piece. It was found near old foundations and I’m thinking it is British since the location was a British stronghold. If anyone has a better idea please send me your thoughts!

And the last piece is a decorated silver thimble...
I’m Always happy with silver thimble, this one is nicely decorated and inscribed “Pattie”?

Nice finds. Beautiful thimble and the crown device looks similar to several in Don Troiani's "Insignia of Independence". Could be part of a pouch plate. Is it cast brass or stamped brass?

It doesn’t look like brass at all. It’s got some pitted areas and it’s black, like iron.

You could post it on the Revolutionary War Button, Plate, and Accoutrement Facebook page

Congrats on the silver thimble, I bet there was a tear from Pattie when it was lost.
The cast iron crown has 3 lugs on the back so I would think it was more from the furniture/stove hardware.
Congrats on both-liking the wheel.

Well done, congrats! :occasion14:

Hi , The wheel looks to be part of a helmet vet wheel . TP
