British Victorian General Service Button?

Found this while out with my 3-year old daughter a couple weekends ago. Closest I can match is a British General Service Button. Light material... maybe tin? Found at a church built in 1832. Literally got the signal as my coil hit the ground for the first time. Also found two wheat pennies (1912D and 1918). All around the big oak tree in front! We'll be back!

Ok I'll guess something ;D The lion should be on the other side for the British Royal Arms and there look to be a number of other differences. I wonder if this is a designed piece for a civilian button (or something else) which was made to resemble the British arms? Or maybe it does match another arms - but I haven't had a chance to look too far into it.
