If I had to guess, I'd say it's a specimen of staurolite.

It’s from Nova Scotia, and I don’t got any before but I do have pictures of pieces of it

I’ve never seen a specimen of staurolite look like this around here. Usually tiny brownish specimens
I’ve also cleaned up a specimen on matrix
