Cant figure out where they were going with this piece. Has two sides broken off. Any ideas? Its that time again. One eye out for the good stuff. The other eye out for the bad stuff.

The latter looks like a keeper, too cool !! We have timber's around here, but they really keep to themselves, got all the copperheads you can carry though ::)...........

I think you could have skinned him with that flint. Looks like you got him buzzing. The ones that do not buzz worry me.

If we had a bunch of those up here in northern Ohio I'd probably stay home.

thanks for posting some of the dangers of hunting arrowheads,as we need to keep this in mind if we take are kids with us.the broken point looks like a graver now, thanks for the post jamey

Looks like some kind of little tool. Seems like I find a lot of that kind of stuff, Not a point, or blade, or anything in the books, But worked and thin, and not broken. I have come to the conclusion that sometimes we just don't know, and their is no one around that was there to tell us what they had in mind. Never know. As far as the rattler, WE have copper heads in my neck of the woods here In Mo. We have a lot of rocky bluffs. I have seen them as fat as a soup can while out hunting. If I want to see my son, or Buddy's try to run in the water while creek hunting. I just scream SNAKE and point behind them. The looks on their faces, the water splashing, and the run for the bank. is priceless. John

Nice find & pics of the snake always see alot of wildlife out in the bush, sometimes seeing wildlife is better than finding an artifact, we were walking out of a field today and my nephew found a huge 8 point shed...
