HI....I am new to metal detecting, and left mine outside for about 3 months. Changed the batteries last night to use it this morning....it goes on, I can change the settings to what I want, but the metal is not registering, so it is not beeping......Any advice as to how I can fix this I have tried everything except taking the main head apart....Thanks

You did not say how old your machine is. If it is less than two years old just call Garrett, and they will give you instructions for returning it for free repairs under the warranty. Garrett has a great reputation for taking good care of their customers.

It may have some moisture in it. Remove the batteris and put it in a warm dry place for a few days. I'd also unplug the coil.
