Interesting point, and apparently unusual as no definitive thoughts have been posted about it yet. I don't recognize the material or type, although I would agree that it looks like it might have some water staining in the brownish areas? The main identifying characteristic of it appears to be the relatively wide and short stem it has. The only types I can think of right off, that I relate to that characteristic, are the Fox Creek/Steubenville type and some Kirk stemmed points, although I am not thinking it is either of those types. Possibly the same general age as Fox Creeks, but material, flaking, and blade size/shape are not consistent for the type. Perhaps other finds from that site can help with general dating for that piece?
