Hey guys I have a question! From what I have been reading bronze is a copper alloy consisting of copper and a small % of tin right? Is bronze the same price as copper? I was looking up some of my old british 2 pence coins thinking they were pure copper but they are bronze. I don't know for sure if foreign coins are looked at as closely for their base metal value, and I am seeing alot of these bronze coins in the bargain bins at the local coin shops. The kind where you pay by the handful. I was thinking about picking out all the coppers and bronze if they are worth the same. What do you think? Also do you think scrapyards would take foreign coins or do they not take any type of coin?

Bronze is only a buck a pound here in Ohio, so i do not know if it is worth it. Good luck.

I haven't been to my scrap yard in over a month, but brass/bronze was only half the price of #2 copper(dirty copper).

Most places won't take currency. I don't know about foreign currency, but I know most won't take us coins as its illegal to melt them.
