how deep ?
jw fishers has a pulse 12 that detects all metal from a tow behind fish
I use jw fishers 4' foot coil and tow it behind my inflateable boat. I have a bulkhead fitting on my pulse 8x metal detector it works great.

You have the exact set up I am looking into for finding a shipment of copper that went to the bottom in the mid 1800s. If you don't mind, could you tell me how deep can this set up penetrate sand?

I bought a large coil PI detector years ago from A & S metal detector in California. Pulse 2000. It was $695. Very deep, but not waterproof box. I was thinking of putting the coil on a UW PI. And a longer coil cable. I assume they are still in business. It will go at least 6' on a beer can though. I assume all the large 1 meter coils will do this.
