Spent a nice sunny day finishing off the Brooch Field Site. Although we didn't get anything too special, I'm pleased we done it in readiness for the next deep plough. We have pretty much taken off everything including the iron, that's in range.
5 hrs 15 mins;

13 Scrappies
Broken 14th C Medieval Buckle
Roman Nail Cleaner (type that hung on a brooch)
Bit of a Roman Bracelet
Another Roman Ring made from a broken bracelet

Congrats, love seeing your finds... Their like a protein shake, that juice... It's golden, it Drives me

I am always SO jealous of the finds in England and other European Countries. Historically speaking, we are just babes in the US. Great finds!

Is that a bullet ?, Great finds as always

Nice finds mate. At first I thought a broken hair pin.

Those are some amazing finds CRU you must have soooooo much fun digging up all those finds. Thanks for sharing them Tommy

That brooch hanging nail cleaner is a first for me. Nail cleaner are extremely rare in our fields. Almost looks like your romans spend more time with their personel hygiene than ours here.....:tongue3:

HF Elliptical coil again? Will that be the standard coil for you to use or more for specialty conditions? Thanks for the posts!

I suspect this place is a Roman Brothel that serviced a Roman Hotel for Roman Military staff & Officals. (which is on the opposite side of a main Roman Road)

Yes, the HF coil. I'm still trialling it, but I think it will be used on the sites that I have 'cleared' the most. As my 11" will cover more area in a shorter amount of time.
