Tried a new area, just for less than an hour, and the main field was planted.
Nice temp and weather, I got
1 Brooch, with part of the poin still in it, which I don't know if it's roman or medieval...any clues will be welcome
Then 1 coin of Phillip IV, around 1660's, of 16 maravedis, mint of Madrid (Y symbol on the left)
Another one of 2 maravedis, 1619.
And some other bits!
Cheers and good hunting

Looks like a medieval buckle plate, the pin is there but the 'D' shaped buckle is bust off.

A little unbelievable for a quick hunt...congrats:icon_thumleft:

Looks like the new area will be producing some good stuff :icon_thumright:

Thanks a lot guys!
Cru could you post a pic of the buckle plate? I would love to get an idea of what it is.
Thanks!!

This field gives the coins in very good state of preservation, you do not need to clean .
I go hunting on saturday ... but posting later.

Nice finds! HH,Mike

These are better pics, I don't think it's a buckle plate, what do you guys think it is?
Thanks for posting the reference Cru!
