Always good to dig up a bucket list find! It's an 1864 two cent piece! About 6 inches down with a penny-dime signal. A little toasted, but not too bad. Hard to read the date in the photos, but it's definitely a number "4" at the end of the date.

Haven't found any silver coins at this spot, but I have found four awesome coppers there. 1798 draped bust LC, 1859 IHC, 1864 IHC and now the 1864 two cent piece. Someone must have cherry picked all the silvers and most of the coppers, but they did miss a few good ones!

Here's a few pics:

Thanks, guys!

Nice two cent piece.Which is one of my favorite coins to find.

Hey bird...
You may have found a little more than a "bucket list" coin there...

A lot more.
That strike is off... Big time.

PS> Looks like a "small motto" as well.

Is the coin sitting on something else? That's one odd looking blank if not, looks way oversized for the strike.

I'll say they missed a few. Two Cent pieces are always welcome under my coil. Nice job.

Congrats on checking one off the list. The 2 cent coin still eludes my coil.

Congrats on the nice find. It's always nice to find one that you have never found before.

Nice find and to strike it off the list.

Congratz on a bucket lister!

Looks like he's got it in a sleeve for the pic. Great looking coin, would love to dig one myself.

Doesn't look off if u look at the pic with the coin in his hand. Great find!

Haha that's what it is. I feel so ******ed.

Yes, I placed it on top of a cardboard flip, not inside it. Takes a better picture that way and there's no glare from the plastic insert attached to the flip.
