Best day of detecting I ever had. Silver signet ring, s mint slq and a 1917 mecrury dime. All shallow finds on the banks of a 1920's swimming hole. IMG_0012.webp

Old swim holes ....gotta luv em !! Congrats !!

Congrats on the SLQ, merc and other nice finds

Congrats on all of your bucket list coins - silvers. Looks like you may also have a nice relic with that spigot on there.

If there are any bedrock pockets in or downstream from the swimming hole there are bound to be some goodies lurking in there if you're willing to get wet. Great finds!

Awesome finds!
Gives me hope for the swim beaches near me!
COINgrats!

Thanks guys, I was excited to get back there today but I only found a wheat cent and a tax token, this is a huge property from 1920 to 1935 with two swimming ponds and a fishing pond for the men, I've only been Halfway around one pond so I'm hoping to find the picnic area and bath house. This was an upscale "resort" for business people and there families. An old guy told me his grandfather said that they never swam there because it cost to much, he said they stayed in the local creek where the would "court the ladies".

Yes there is a large creek catching the over flow of the pond , I'm gonna try it but we've been in the 40's at so it might be chilly.
