A rare Saturday off is all I needed to go door knocking. A buddy from my MDC and I met for coffee this morning, and we made our plan to attack the neighborhood. He pulls a 1769 Hibernia before we bailed on a tick infested, briar laden, landfill of a cellar hole in the woods. So we headed into town, came up on a guy who owned half the corner block, turn of the century house, with all sorts of potential. I grabbed a Merc, buddy gets 2 for himself. Bunch of wheats, random relics, very little clad. Finally, we pull up on a church yard that was “hunted hard over the years, you won’t find anything “ Challenge accepted. 20 minutes later, I found this!
OMG!!!
You NE guys find coppers like I find wheats (9 today) so I never imagined I’d find something this old.
My oldest ever, and I can’t imagine topping this.
Also scored a 1910 dog tax tag, awesome!
Thanks for looking!
