Buckle. Age? Type?

Hey, everyone. Can anyone identify this old buckle? I found it last month in conjunction with a number of buttons from the early to mid 1800s. Just wondering if it is of comparable age, older, or even relatively modern. Thanks!

possible childs shoe buckle, age not sure. had them up into the 60's for little girls.

The slightly offset bar suggestion its horse tack buckle. Tough to date but late 19th C is a strong option.
