Went hunting with my son and we found a couple goodies. First he found a George III that's badly worn and also a large flat button with a missing shank. I found two smaller flat buttons with shanks intact and a buckle that doesn't seem to fit in with the period of other items. This buckle has a tooth type clasp as would be used on a fabric belt. I tried researching history of these with no results. Any help would be appreciated as to age. It is brass. Thanks.

nice buttons, the buckle is nice too, being ignorant of them, it looks more modern to me

Hello HHNC, Your buckle is USGI MilSpec, usually worn on dress uniforms. Happy Hunting, Sub 8-)
