I got permission to hunt a rather new housing development where there once was a Grist Mill. Parts of the dam were on both sides of the creek, but other than a few nails I didn't get any hits. So as I was leaving the neighborhood I noticed a tree on a hill that looked to me like it would have been a homestead site. Stopped my car and went to check it out, right away I saw the pile of stones and some old bricks. After digging up 12+ Mason jar lids and what appears to be a possible money clip I hit onto a brass buckle and as the search continued the site gave up three more. The other small brass buckle I found last Sunday not far from a chimney that had been hunted by many. Thanks for looking

Some nice finds.
That piece you thought was a money clip is actually an aluminum clothes pin. I think from about the 1940's. I've dug a lot of those.
Congrats,
