Looking for some insight as to the approximate age of a buckle I recently found. It came up as a -6 on my Minelab X-terra (thats iron for those of you without an X-terra). Found in a dump area where I also found 1930-1940 period stuff and a colonial button in central PA.

Measures 2.75" x 2"

Not sure why there is a faceted doo-dad encrusted to part of it. Any help would be great. It shines because it was wet when I took the photos.

Above is the buckle after cleaning in Evapo-rust. Jewel was glued up (buckle bling).
