Found a pretty old buckle - it looks hand-forged to me - but can't tell how old exactly. Any ideas?

Thanks Crusader. I seem to recall that it would cause a galvanic reaction and one metal would corrode. On the other hand I certainly could have been dreaming in that science class. LOLUsing brass buckles & iron or steel pins was common.
