Found this buckle near some old oak trees at an old but still active home site. The piece was bent/folded and about 4-5" deep. You'll notice the buckle is rather thin and also the reason I was able to straighten out without breaking it.

Is this just a 1970-80 era buckle or does it date further back?

If it is an early shoe buckle, you straightened it out and it should be curved. Ooops.

Thanks Daryl,

Curved would have been one thing ;D

The piece was folded, which also is noticeable on the metal where it was straighten out. Any idea time frame?
