Buckle?

Found this at a 1800 house (1700s farm) if it’s a buckle what kind or what was it used for and era? Also found this sash buckle and other rusted buckle in two holes within two feet of each other also found these animal bones and nails n clamshell (maybe a old privy anybhelp appreciated
