The river side always have funny stuff. Tools from the raft men time , some marble show around always like them. A gold100 US bill:-),Three old buckles 1750-1850 from the field. A strange handle , no id yet.British penny beside a scaring Georges coin. The shinny brass buckle( just half buckle ) is from the 1900 art Nouveau and finally a sterling medal.

Love those rafter relics! What's the deal with the gold bill?

Thank,s NZ49er, the fake gold bill is some kind of magnet publicity, was just there laying around, for once i find goal :-)

Any ideas for the JR on the rafting dog?

Interesting assortment of finds. I especially like the three old buckles which date 1750 to 1780, not 1850. They are all 18th century, one being a military sling buckle.

Great finds! Really nice buckles:icon_thumleft:

This is a nice set of finds and well represented with story and pictures - congrats and well done mate! :skullflag: :occasion14:

The ring pull may be a furniture drawer pull, or it could have come off a powder horn. I've seen more than one 18th century powder horn with those nailed on the butt end. I have a few as well.

Congrats on the nice finds! Those buckles are cool! :icon_thumleft:

No idea Smallfoot, many have company name i could look for, a broad axe got the full name on it.

Those dogs are really nice, great history to them and the logging industry thru time.

A very nice assortment of finds,

Great haul, love the assortment

I assume the handle is SOLID Silver?

Very nice relics, that is some good age for North America! I like the socketed gaff, and have you ever found complete stoneware Ginger Beer bottles in the river?

a broad axe got the full name on it.

I'd like to see your broadaxe if you have any pictures of it :)

The " handle" certainly does appear to be solid silver - excellent finds !!

WOW!! lots of cool items, really like the spear point in the first pic and what is the skeleton key with a bowl? that is interesting....
