Buffalo Nickle 1935

Bought a box of Dimes (skunk) and 2 boxes of nickles. I found this Buffalo nickle that has an F mark under the date. Im sure someone can explain the F mark. Any and all comments are welcome.

the F isn't a mint mark. The mint mark (your coin doesn't have one) would be on the rev. at the bottom below the C in CENTS at the 6 o'clock area.

I can't remember what the F means - might be an initial of designer's name (James Earle Fraser) or something but all the buff's have it.

Your coin is in great cond. though - congrats on the find.

The F is the designer's initial as Silverface said. That is a nice looking Buffalo coin, good find.
