Walked from school straight to the bank this afternoon to buy a few rolls of nickels to look for a 2019 Nickel for a 20 yr time capsule the school will be burying later this summer. At the bank I take out a 20$ and told the teller I’d like to deposit half and have the other half in Nickels please. It took her some time and she gave me 5 rolls of em. Back at home I opened each roll carefully to avoid damaging to the coins. First roll there weren’t that many new nickels but only lots of 1964s and 90s nickels. Second roll was just as boring as the first, newer nickels and 90-80s nickels. No 2019s yet.
Third roll showed the unexpected v

Boom! Buffalo/Indian nickel
I didn’t know I’d find any buffalos but I happened to.
Poured them, spread them out and there were more v
No 2019 nickel(s) yet
Opened the 4th roll.... Nothing (70s-2018)
5th roll gave me more than I expected v
Tons more buffalo nickels and Holy cow
..... A ‘43 P war nickel.
My First war nickel as a FIND.

There were also a few 60s nickels that we’re in EF condition that I wanted to save.
Here’s everything:
x29 Buffalo nickels (Almost all are dateless. Only 4 had dates)
x5) 3 64s, 62 and 61 in EF-40 condition
x1 1943 P war nickel
Off picture:
x47 Pre 1965 Jeff nickels (1939-1964)
x0 2019 Nickels

Will return to the bank tomorrow for 2019 Nickel and possibly more of what I just found today.
Thanks for looking
