To the naked eye these little yellow things looked like seeds or mold spores. It wasn't until I downloaded and edited the pictures that I saw what they really were.

The larger bug is a boxelder bug and they are quite a nuisance in the Fall as the temperature falls. By the thousands, they gather and try to get get inside your houses to make it through the Winter. They seem to be harmless, but are just quite bothersome by their numbers. Those smaller bugs look like aphids, or are they the younger brood?

I was told they are yellow aphids. I have an over abundance of the plant they were on so I didn't kill them. But, after looking them up I find that they are an non native invasive insect that destroys Monarch butterfly hosting plants so they will be dealt with today if they are still there.

They do suck the life out of milkweed.
