I want to build a display box for finds from an old store we are repairing. Thought it would be really nice to put everything in there and hang it when we are finished. I can build the box no problem but how do you attach the things to the back and keep them from falling off? I have thought about double sided tape or velcro. There is nothing yet of any value but I still don't want to damage them.

Hello,
thin fishing line, like 6 llb test or even lighter, just drill very small holes in your backer board and tie it through the back..

If they are ferrous objects you could even use magnets.

Never thought about the fishing line. What about coin like objects?

Fish net......snicker.

You could have two backs, the outer one you could cut round holes in it to snugly hold the coin.

Good idea for the coin/token type things. I plan to make the box from some of the 150 year old wood that has been removed. We haven't found a whole lot so far. Gravel has been brought in over the years. Still have hope for under the porch.

coins or coin like can go in a capsule and you can use hot melt glue...
