Found this close to where a small battle broke out in North Georgia, could it be Civil War era? Very small cal,thought to be pistol. Thanks for any input

I kind of think your bullet is modern. Look at the groves in the bullet and see if there are any crimp marks there. That would tell you it is post cw. Definitely fired.

Ok cleaned it a little better looks like crimp marks in the grooves thanks for the info dug!

Need exact measurement to tell the caliber. But I do believe it is a modern wad cutter bullet. It is meant for shooting paper targets and leaving perfectly round holes.
