howdy from n/z...paid another visit to an old 60s battle site and hit a fairly hot spot that must have seen a fair ole scrap.. 24 musket balls and enfeilds and one that has me guessing its origin..it has a different base and is shorter than the .577,s...what do you reckon..thanks for looking..des..oh !! ps, the tomahawk is only there for a background, I never found it on this trip..

might I ask what were they fighting the locals were stone age folks , were they not? not much of a challange weapons range wize ---and the farmers were under british control .

there was a lot of different type of guns used in the 60s ...enfeilds , a minnie rifle is mentioned along with smooth bore,flintlock and revovers .colt and adams...one sided in someways but the english got dealt to many a time in close combat..the big guns were the deciders no doubt...
