Did the roman homestead from last week again for 3 hours. Some keepers popped up. The Sestercius of Commodus 177–192 AD on the shard is clearly been in a fire. Not easy to see on the pics. So this home burned down some time. You can't tell if is was by accident or if it was plundered. Also a copper showed up. Diameter and thickness is like a silver coin...??? Not identified, but it looks like a counterfeit with the silver washed off.
Thanks for looking!

Congrats great finds! HH!

Congrats on your finds :icon_thumleft: Good luck with your detecting!

are those rifle rounds german, Italian, or American?

The 3 casings are cal. .50+ .50 bullet in front of them. The bullet under the casings is a black tipped .30-06 Garand.

very nice, gz! :)

Wow.....great finds

Congrats. Awesome finds.

Very good days hunt. Keep it coming.

Wow, talk about old coins, nice finds!

At least it comes very close! Thanks to Crudad! Looks like a different die with the speartip at the bottom of IIII, and on the wildwinds coin the tip is between IIII and C of Commodus.

I still haven't ID the "Fake" coin, bad condition and clipped....at least clipped lookalike... My guess is around 1500 as there is no date.

do not find oldies like that on this side of the atlantic. i am green, congratulations sir!

At first I thought the coin might have been an old counterfiet 8 reale??

Nice coin WF, one day I will have to make my way over the pond to get me some of those old ones.
I'm with Cru, 8 reale counterfiet.
