Butch's Whatzit
. I found something round and heavy along a sidewalk near an elementary school today. It was dirty and I just threw it in my pocket until I got home. After preliminary cleaning, I could see it was a Lincoln Cent imbedded in a "copper tire". Diameter is 1 1/16" It is 5/16" at its widest point. It is like the penny is the hubcap for the tire. The date was 1980d so it is not old. The back had been ferrous(iron) as it was very rusty and it appeared to be 3 spots on the back where something was attached. It is way too heavy to be a button on a garment. Any ideas on what this is from or what it was used for
