Great finds! Thanks for sharing...

I don't know much about coins does the barber have a key date or mint mark and what about cleaning should I leave it alone, thanks

That barber has great details, and is SEMI-KEYDATE! That is a cool infantry eagle button, it could be Civil War

Coinman thanks for the info would it be worth sending off to get graded?

Awesome Finds man!...I can help you clear out the garbage while its hot....Just give me some details of your location :P

Excellent finds. Love the Barber!

Hello high blood pressure , I would be going nuts to get back. Very nice finds and keep us posted on your return trips!

Thanks everyone, the lady said i'm welcome back any time. A little info on the spot I'm at , old farm dating back to the 1800s plenty of acres to hunt the original house is long gone but that's where I found the barber, about four hundred yards across the field the existing house sits early 1900s I found the infantry button just outside her yard. Stayed in the fields didn't ask to go in her yard but there is still a lot of ground to cover

Coinman thanks for the info would it be worth sending off to get graded?

Grading cost around $20-$50, but sometimes can help increase the price of the coin if it has a high grade, some companies will not grade problems coins (Corrosion, Cleaning, Huge Scratches, etc.), but others will, but put a details grade. Grading would take a few weeks/months to have done. But if the coin comes back with a decent grade, or even details grade, it would be worth it. It is a gamble, people have paid $500 on a Unc Morgan Dollar, got it graded, and sold it for $2000. Anyway, it is your decision, and pick what you would prefer.

Looking at it as is (Better photos would help), it looks to VF-15-VF-20, Environmental Damage, or Stained, worth around $250-$320 as is. I think the grading companies would accept a coin with little problems (I have seen graded barber dimes with worse damage then yours graded, and sold on Ebay), the coins I've seen rejected have PVC damage (A green slime left from old coin holders) on the surface of the coin, dents, huge scratches, or more huge problems. I hope more people help out here, anyway thanks for posting.

Nice finds. Barbers are always welcome under my coil.
