Hello all, new to the Forum. Found this button (so I think it's a button) but cannot identify its origins.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums. There is a wealth of knowledge here, I just wish I had some! It's just my guess but your "crest" button looks like a modern fashion one that would be found on a sport coat or something like that.

Thanks for the reply. Although I haven't tested, the button seems to have a gold guild covering it.

Welcome to T-Net. No need to test the gold gilt, as there is usually only a few micrograms coating the entire button and might not even be enough to test. Hard to date without a clearer picture, but I suspect fyrffytr1 is correct, looks fairly modern.

It must be a modern fashion button, I see an Incan Man with a head dress on, Fleur De Lis symbols at the bottom, a pyramid or TP in the middle (could be mountains), and a lion or horse with a bow.

That should be "teepee".

I understand how one might think there is an Incan on the button. It is actually an 8 pointed crown. The pyramid/Teepee is actually 2 chevrons. The lion to the right (if the button is facing away from you) is holding a bow. Cannot make out what is to the left. I can tell you that the location were the button was found, I also found an 1885 Grover Cleveland inaugural coin, 2 Mercs ('43 and '39), and one 1920 Canadian penny. Keep the suggestions coming. Lastly, not sure, but when did the "modern" era start? What time frame?

When I write modern I'm thinking Victorian or latter, here's one with a loop that I ended up tumbling, I think it is Victorian era too. My oldest confirmed button is the one that I hit, easy to see in my pic.
