button find unknown type any help would be appreciated

I have also posted this on the what is it form.

I found this button today on a farm that has a graveyard not to far from where the original home stood. The button was found where the home once stood. The few stones in the graveyard that are still somewhat reasonable are marked 1700' and 1800's the rest of the graves are marked with rocks or nothing at all.

The button has what looks like gold in color flakes still attached to it front and back. The loop is missing on the back. On the front it has both on top of the button and inside the shield what looks like a Lion standing up walking. Inside the banner below the shield is writing but I haven't been able to clean it up enough yet to make out all the letters, I do know that the first letter is a "S". Any help on identifying the button would be very much appreciated.

Without seeing the back its hard to say. But my guess would be a modern blazer/sport coat button. Good find.
