Button Found At Rev. War Site

I posted this on today's finds along with some other items. I just decided to give this button a scubbing with the tooth brush.

The front appears to be just rounded with no detail that I can see at this point.

The inside shows some stars and I think the number 6.

Can anyone help me on this?

Dug in Southern Carolina at skirmish site.
