button help...1800's site...

yes it's me again...i found this button today at a new site i just got permission to hunt..the owner said the site had been gone through several times..this is a pic. of a button i found...redcardhack was with me and near by he found a large cent...we also found several mason jar lids with the white glass..

Two-piece (hollow) brass body, with a RMDC (Raised-Mark-in-Depressed-Channel) backmark means 1830s to 1870s ...but most likely on the early side of that range. The backmark's words "Superior" and "Extra Rich" refer to the strength of the button's construction, and the quality level of the gold gilting on it. The horse-in-motion emblem is among the class which button-collectors call Sportsmen's buttons.

The LC was 1847, so maybe around that time frame or not far off?
