Button I.D.

Found this neat looking button this morning. Wondering if anyone can give me an approximate age on it? On the front I can see what kind of looks like a flower design of some sort. There is no backmark on it. It is brass I believe. The site where it was found is a mid 1700's fur trade site with lots of period goodies on it.
