✅ SOLVED Button ID help please

Two buttons attached
1st looks copper and is about the size of a quarter. 2nd is pretty shiny and light weight but looks military?

Button #1 is what button-collectors call a brass 1-piece "flatbutton." It dates from the 1790s to about 1840. The great majority of that particular type which have been found in America were manufactured in Britain, but the infant US button-making industry did make some in the 1820-30s.

Button #2 is a modern-era "Fashion" button, made for use on civilian clothing, despite having a military-looking emblem.
