Button #1 is what button-collectors call a brass 1-piece "flatbutton." It dates from the 1790s to about 1840. The great majority of that particular type which have been found in America were manufactured in Britain, but the infant US button-making industry did make some in the 1820-30s.

Button #2 is a modern-era "Fashion" button, made for use on civilian clothing, despite having a military-looking emblem.
