Button id help!

Wa super excited to finally use my detector! Had it for 5 years and only been able to use it about 5 times! But anyway I found this up in the Yorkshire Dales a few days ago and really would like to try to date it. Looks like it was originally gold plated/gilt. Can make out very faint lettering around the top of it. There is a small star directly above the crown, then something like "S..A.."?
