Button id help

I've been looking through some of my old dug buttons and realized I never made an effort to find out what type some of them are. This one is smaller than a penny with what looks like a griffin or standing lion on the front in a shield and a scroll or banner underneath with wording that I can't make out. It may have the letters "ect" or "ict" in the words. Any help with an ID for this button would be great. I altered the color just a tad to bring out the details. Thanks!

Thanks so much...that is the design for sure. I googled it and found that the design has been around for quite some time.
