Button ID or dating.

Ok who is the button specialist in our group?

It's not military but it's old. It appears to be silver plated and may even have been enameled based on the way it looks. Found it at an old home site on family land that I believe I have located. Didn't have a lot of time so will have to return to do a more thorough search.

Rings up as a dime on the F75.

May want to post this on the "what is it" section of this forum.
You had to be loaded in those days to afford a shirt with all silver plated buttons though!
I see nuggetnoggin (youtube videos) digs a lot of porcelain buttons when using his sifter, but not many silver plated ones.

Here is a silver looking button I found in Jasper County (and that doubloon from the train depot):

That button shined up pretty good with baking soda, and it has some writing on it.

I don't think it is that old, but could be up to that old.
I have found several wheat pennies around there from that time period.
