This is not a detector find, but part of a button collection that fell into my lap a few months ago. This is a scoville mfg co with the two stars but I can't find any detail on it. Any help yall could give me would be much appreciated.

It is a US Air Force uniform button. The name of the US Army Air Corps was changed to US Air Force in 1947. For the first two years (1947-49), USAF buttons were goldplated. Yours is silverplated. Scovill stopped manuafacting uniform buttons in 1962, so your silverplated Scovill-made US Air Force button dates from sometime between 1950 and 1962.
