Hello All:

A friend found this button on a lake in northwestern Ontario, Canada with her metal detector. It appears to be made of brass but the back is missing. Can anyone identify it? Possibly military?

First picture is with a penny for size:

Second picture is just the button. The picture is not very sharp and I did enhance the color a bit so the color may not be right on. I haven't seen the actual button, only the picture.

Any help with this one would be appreciated.

cool looking button ,sorry cant help you though. You might have better luck with id if you post in the What is it? topic

Hi, that's a very nice find.
I'm no expert, but it doesn't look military to me. It looks more like an Art Deco design, maybe from an earring or cuff link.
(I'm presuming it's around that size, I'm not sure of the size of the coin)

Is the Blue bit a 'stone'?
and are the red and 'white' bits enamel? 'cos it almost looks like they're a mosaic.

Cheers, Mike

Welcome from the UK.

A picture of the back should help. Is there any writing on the back?

Definately not Military & I think probably not a button (need to see back).

Possibly the end of a hat pin 1920s.

(also in future for IDs; post in the 'What Is It' section - It will get more attention in there, plus I guess its not a today's find)
